President

Dale Martin Jr. is a third generation Funeral Director and President/Owner of Martin Brothers Funeral Services, a company with a history dating back to 1907. Along with their new location on Dunbar in Vancouver’s West Side, Martin is also Chairman of the Board for The Caring Group Corp., and owns other funeral homes, flower shops, and monument design operations across Alberta and British Columbia.

Martin was instrumental in development of The Caring Group Corp’s. proprietary software, “eCare” Funeral Home Management Systems. This ground breaking software is now used in over 100 funeral homes throughout Canada and is key and instrumental to the advancement in technology within the funeral profession.

Born in Alberta, Dale Martin Jr. is a graduate of Brentwood College School on Vancouver Island, and has always considered BC and Vancouver a second home. Martin attended the University of Lethbridge and studied Management Arts. His wife Colleen is Vancouver born and raised, and, along with their two boys, Will and Jack, the Martin family spends much of their time in Lethbridge and Vancouver. Dale is a member of Rotary Club of Lethbridge and Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of both the Alberta executive and British Columbia Funeral Service Associations and the Canadian Funeral Service Association.

In the business for the past 35 years, Martin knows both the value of commemorating a loved one and understands the ever-evolving funeral market. “With families being so spread out and so mobile, it is important to recognize that memorialization is changing and that we need to stay abreast of current trends,” says Martin. “We know that funerals are for the living, and what remains important is that we take the time and make the effort to gather as a family and commemorate our loved ones.”

General Manager

Daryl Lockyer has been involved at every level of funeral planning and management across Western Canada. Born and raised on the West Coast, Daryl began serving at funerals while still in high school.  As the current General Manager across the Martin Brothers’ family of funeral services, Daryl’s passion is to build teams of compassionate funeral professionals who continue Martin Brothers’ tradition of sensitivity and excellence.


WILL MARTIN

WILL MARTIN

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Will Martin is the eldest son of Martin Brothers president Dale Martin. As the fourth generation in Martin Brothers Funeral Services, Will has grown up around the funeral business. His interest in business excellence brought him to Vancouver, where he graduated from Simon Fraser University where he completed his degree in Business Administration and Economics. Following his time working for Martin Brothers in the Lower Mainland, Will enrolled in the Canadian College of Funeral Service in his hometown of Lethbridge, Alberta where he completed his Funeral Directing and Embalming Licenses. Will works hard as he continues to learn from his predecessors, when he is not fishing and playing with his dog Duke.


Jennifer Harder

Senior Funeral Director and Embalmer

Jennifer graduated from the Canadian College of Funeral Services in 2017, licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. In her free time, Jennifer loves spending time with her pets and spouse Kristopher. She is a volunteer with the Lower Mainland Humane Society, and many different hospice-based organizations.

Brielle was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Vancouver in 2017. She spent most of her working life in the service industry and restaurants and now is using her customer service skills to help families during their hard times. She is in her second year of her apprenticeship and will be graduating from the Canadian College of Funeral Service in June 2023. Brielle likes to spend her free time reading books and crafting at home with a big cup of coffee or tea with her cat.
