Violet (Vi) Papp

Violet Ruth (Vi) Papp passed away on May 30th, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Benny, her three sons Christopher, Richard, and Paul, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and her younger sister Lorraine.

Vi was predeceased by her infant son David, her parents Tom and Sheila, and her sisters Gwen Fran and Anne.

Vi's 76 years were filled with her love of flying, including obtaining her private pilot's license as a grandmother. She loved singing, music, and was an active member of many choirs. She also loved the outdoors, gardening and animals, her family, and had a great passion for hockey, especially the Canucks

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Hope Cemetery, 692 Coquihalla Street, Hope BC at 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 18, 2020. Please observe Covid-19 precautions by wearing a mask and observing physical distancing upon arrival.  A Celebration of Life may also be planned at a later date, when circumstances allow.

The family would like to extend their greatly heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lyttle and the staff at Nicola Valley Hospital, and the nurses and staff at Merritt Home Health.
