Sharon Lesley Cott (February 19, 1952 - August 13, 2014) Our beloved Sharon slipped gently out of this life after a brave and prolonged battle with a rare, progressive neurological condition. Predeceased by her parents Mortimer and Iris Cott of London, England. Survived by her sister Gillian (Stan) of Toronto and nephew Jeremy in New Brunswick, and by family and friends in Britain, Canada, the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand. Heartfelt thanks to Lesley Phee, whose smile and generous spirit made such a difference for Sharon's quality of life. We also thank Dr. Ryan for his care and kindness in the final phase of her illness and are very grateful for the compassionate care she received from all the staff at Yaletown House, but particularly those who work on the 4th floor. An intrepid traveller, Sharon always returned to her Vancouver home filled with stories of her adventures. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharon's memory to: Yaletown House Foundation (http://www.yaletown.org/donate_now.php) or the Brain Research Center at the University of British Columbia (http://brain.ubc.ca/donation/) "Traveler, your footprints are the path, and nothing else. Traveler, there is no path. A path is made by walking."
