Richard Castle Primeau
Feb. 8, 1924 – Oct. 27, 2015
Richard (Dick) took his last breath on Tuesday, October 27th in St. Paul’s Hospital.
Dick was a true gentleman, loved by everyone he met. He was renowned for his puns and offbeat humour that always left you laughing no matter what the occasion.
Born in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, he grew up in North Saanich and served in the RCAF during W.W. II. While attending the school of Optometry at the University of Illinois, he met and married the love of his life. Dick and Rusty Primeau settled in Vancouver, raised three daughters Lynn (Adrian), Tracy (Tony) and Wendy (John). He leaves behind granddaughters Kristine and Alena and many nieces and nephews. Less than a year ago Dick and Rusty celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
His passing was a reflection of a life well lived – loving, peaceful and surrounded by family who will miss him dearly.
The family is grateful for the loving care he received at St. Paul’s hospital and request donations to St. Paul’s in lieu of flowers.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honour from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Parish, 3778 West 28th Ave. in Vancouver.
Service Date: November 21, 2015
