Norman Clement Bruce
Dec. 17, 1919 – Jan. 31, 2015
Norman was born and raised in Golden, BC. In 1937 he arrived in Vancouver to attend the University of BC, where he attained a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then joined Sandwell Engineering Co. where he remained until his retirement.
In 1943 Norman married Beth, his wife of 71 years.
Norman pursued many interests: taking and developing photographs; playing the cello; making a cello, two violins and a viola; stained glass; book binding; stamp and coin collecting; gardening; fly fishing, as examples.
He was predeceased by his son Harry and his brother Bob.
Surviving are his wife Beth, daughter Trudy and son-in-law John Jamieson, daughter-in-law Debi Nelson, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.
