Marie Tanasiuk

With deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of our daughter and sister Nola Marie Tanasiuk on March 3, 2022 in Burnaby, BC.

Marie was born in Beirut Lebanon, where her father, Dr. Eli Tanasiuk served in the United Nations Emergency Force in Gaza. Marie grew up in Edmonton and Stony Plain, Alberta where she excelled at academics and artistic endeavors. She graduated from the University of Alberta (BA) and later the Technical University of Nova Scotia with a Bachelor of Architecture and Environmental Design. Marie went on to work primarily in health care architecture in Alberta, BC and Washington state. Marie enjoyed painting, sculpting and jewelry design. Marie is survived by her loving family, mother Alice Nola Tanasiuk and brother Terry Tanasiuk.
