Lois Collins

Lois Collins - mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully with her children by her side at her home in Elim Village in Surrey, BC. She is now with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus and reunited with her beloved husband Phil, as well as many of her siblings and friends.

Lois was devoted to her family, always putting them first. She was Phil’s anchor and loved being at his side in his vocational ministry. She made her children and grandchildren a priority, always available to help in any way.

Lois, in her own right, left a lasting impact on many. Her strength was in her quiet way, never the center of attention. She left that to her husband Phil. She made a point of serving in her church, mentoring people, welcoming newcomers, and supporting other pastor’s wives. She was humble and unpretentious. Her home was always open to others, hosting many people around her table throughout her whole life until dementia took over and she could no longer cook. However, even in her dementia world, she was still always planning dinner parties.

Everyone who encountered Lois, always stated how much they loved her, how kind and sweet she was. She kept things simple. She was not showy. She was a faithful servant. Even as she passed away, it was quiet and peaceful. We miss her.

She is survived by her sons Steve (Deb) and Doug (Karen), daughter Deb (Walt), grandchildren Brittany (Spencer), Mika (Jordan), Clayton (Chantel), Zac (Katie), Derek (Alexis), David, Samantha, Danika and great- grandchildren, Jacob, Camryn, Felix and Rowan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 1:30pm at White Rock Baptist Church where we will celebrate her life that impacted so many.
