Lee O'Neill

May 8, 1946—June 16, 2017

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lee. He passed away peacefully at the age of 71, with family by his side, after a courageous, nine-year battle with prostate cancer. Lee was a man who had a sense of humour and a passion for life that was extraordinary. He was deeply loved by all who had the good fortune to know him, and he had a profound love for all of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his soul-mate and wife of 30 years, Valarie; his children, Brett and Madison; his siblings, Robin (John), Mike, Hugh, Anne, Mary (Mike); his sister-in-law, Melita and countless other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Lou and Tip O’Neill and by his cherished younger brother, Sean.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 21st, from 7-11 PM at the Vancouver Masonic Centre (4th floor), 1495 West 8th Ave. (at Granville St), Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation (in memo line please put Prostate Cancer Research) and address to Dr. Kim Chi, 600 W. 10th Ave, Vancouver, V5Z 4E6.
