June Young Obituary
With great sadness and deep love, I announce that my dear wife passed away peacefully at home shortly after her 89th birthday. June was born at Grace Hospital in Vancouver in 1936.. She enjoyed 56 years of a wonderful marriage with husband Peter Young whom she met in 1968 and married in August 1969.
June was predeceased by her parents, her brother Gerry and niece Valerie. Survived by her husband, niece Linda, nephew Doug and long-time friend Colette Spencer.
We travelled the world together visiting over 35 countries, including Russia, China, Africa, Australia (6 times), Costa Rica, Dubai, Egypt and many others.
She was known as a great hostess especially our parties at Christmas and on Valentine's Day. Also, with our neighbours, when we lived on West 59th, Jennifer Hellwig and Lila Higgins where we moved to each house for a different course.
