Giuseppina Nardi

June 25, 1923 - May 30, 2018

Giuseppina Nardi passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 30, 2018, at the age of 94.

She is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Antonio Nardi and siblings Luigi, Francesco, Giovanni, Maria & Assunta.

She is survived by her 8 children, Rose Gazdaj (Tony), Frank Nardi (Ida), Maria Bastone (Tony), Rita Whittle (Chuck), Alfredo Nardi (Maria-Teresa), Yolanda Vero (Peter), Joe Nardi (Shirley), Teresa Pellegrino (Sam); her 23 grandchildren, Angelo, Anna, Josie, Tony, Mary-Ann, Teresa, Anthony W., Clare, Steven, Paolo, Anthony N., Johnny, Linda, Cristina, Danny, Joseph, Adriana, Matthew, Amanda, Marcia, Michael, Angela, and Jessica as well as her 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Yolanda Nardi and brother Alfredo Bastone.

Our mother’s greatest passion was her family. She gave so much and asked for so little in return. She was always there for us, listening, teaching, helping, forgiving, praying and loving us. She was the core of our family and we will miss the strong presence she had in our lives. Our little block on West 16th Avenue feels quieter today but we can still feel her spirit and take comfort in knowing she is watching over us.

Thank you Mother for loving us and giving us the greatest gift of all, our family. We love you. You will be in our hearts forever.

Prayers will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 7:30 PM at St. Augustine's Church, 2028 West 7th Ave, Vancouver. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 6, 2018, 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Stella Cometa Vancouver Society or BC Children’s Hospital.
