Dr. Hubert Edmund "Pete" Hawk

June 17, 1938 – April 13, 2018

With sadness we announce the passing of Hubert Edmund (Pete) Hawk. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Judy, sons Gregor (Debbie) and Andrew, his grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas and Madison, his siblings Sara, Tom (Jodi) and Sherrie (Lou). Pete enjoyed his Orthopaedic practice at St. Paul’s Hospital and was known to his colleagues and patients as a caring, compassionate physician. He earned his medical degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax and received his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery following residency training at the University of British Columbia. He enjoyed his family, friends, and his canine pals. Pete loved sports and was a football quarterback in both High School and University. He was an avid tennis player and golfer. We are most grateful to the wonderful staff at Dogwood Lodge.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Arbutus Club on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers a donation in Pete’s memory to a charity of your choice, or to the Class of 1965 Bursary, Dalhousie Medical School (dal.ca) would be greatly appreciated.
